ideas for Csound and XO

I would like to investigate the idea of hosting csound GUIs online. I've been looking at the 'processing' language and with that users can easily send udp data to a unique port. I was thinking that users could build online GUI interfaces for Csound files that would run locally on the host machine. Data would then be sent over the network to Csound. As I've little experience with server technology does anyone know if this would work? Are there security issues that would prevent such a thing from running?

sockrecv/socksend...

Seems that these opcodes are not too reliable so I'm now pursuing other ways of getting data from an online instrument to Csound.....

What about OSC, remotsnd, system, or an official .csd MIMEtype?

What about OSC?
What about the midRemote Opcodes?
What about the system Opcodes?
What about creating a csound mimetype - even officially?

OSC...

I'm looking at using OSC at the moment. I think it should be possible to run OSC info from GUIs stored on an internet server to an instance of Csound running locally on the XO. I've already built local GUI/instruments with processing and OSC but so far I've had no luck with online GUIs. The processing list is pretty quite but hopefully they will respond to my query soon. Will keep you posted.
