abcsound documentation available

Hi folks,

After a year I finally finished documenting the abcsound.py architecture and providing some pydoc for the code. It's all here:

http://kneuro.net/abcsound

abcsound accepts the "abc" textual score notation as input, and produces Csound scores as output. It uses an enhanced version of abc that allows multiple voices and permits explicit control of pfield values (using abc decorations) in the output score.

Enjoy.

is this compatable with midi to abc???

if so I found a way to steal a staff editor for it...

the editor is Canorus

go to the plugins directory

create a new folder

copy the xml file from another folder

It is very easy to reverse it doesn't desplay well here though.

make some simple changes. and then write your conversion interface.. The license for midi to csound in windows isn't good though, otherwise both tools would work well on it.

compatible with midi to abc...

Is it compatible? Maybe. Next on my "to-do" list for abcsound is to test it with a lot of existing abc scores from around the 'net. It's worked on every abc file I've tried, but I haven't tried that many. I mainly use abcsound for composition -- I find writing a text file way easier than manipulating a score graphically.
