Free audio samples and more

OK. I now have the privileges to post news items on Csounds.com, so maybe I won't need to use this blog for software release announcements. But I may still announce pre-release versions of CsoundFront or other tools and occasionally provide details about what I am working on. I am even considering posting some of my personal Csound explorations now.

This post is along those lines -- I recently added a bunch of files to my web site that may interest Csound users and computer music composers. Included are several small collections of audio samples that I created and am releasing into the public domain. These might be useful source material for composers. The samples are available from

In addition, I've moved my archive of Malte Steiner's software hYdraJ -- a utility for editing Csound's hetro analysis files -- to the files directory of my site along with several other miscellaneous (and probably useless) things I had previously posted with the Yahoo Briefcase service. All is available with short descriptions at

As always, if you find anything to be helpful or broken, your feedback is appreciated.
